About the Opportunity
An established family owned manufacturer with a strong reputation for product quality and customer support is entering a new phase of commercial focus. The foundations are strong. The next chapter is about sharpening how the business engages the market, deepening relationships with Tier 1 and independent customers and building a more structured, disciplined sales operation. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the national sales function and guide a small team across the East Coast. This is a field-based leadership role, remaining close to key customers and major projects while mentoring and developing the team.
Your mandate is to strengthen how the organisation sells into large Tier 1 customer environments where influence sits across procurement, operations and technical stakeholders. Success will come from building structured account strategies, mapping decision makers and positioning the business ahead of major purchasing and tender cycles.
You will mentor and develop the team, shifting capability from transactional account contact to deliberate organisational selling. This includes strengthening account planning, improving engagement with senior decision makers and lifting commercial confidence across the group.
Alongside leadership, you will remain close to key accounts, helping protect and expand market position. Over time you will bring stronger visibility to pipeline, forecasting and market intelligence while aligning sales activity with operational planning.
About You
You are an experienced B2B sales leader who understands how to influence complex organisations across multiple layers and guide teams toward more strategic customer engagement. You are comfortable operating in environments where relationships, credibility and commercial discipline matter more than quick transactions.
Your background comes from construction materials, industrial products, coatings, chemicals, manufacturing, building products or other sectors where technical advice and site presence is essential to the sales process.
You have led and mentored sales teams before and take genuine satisfaction in lifting capability around you. You know how to build structured account plans, map decision makers and guide teams to engage earlier in customer buying cycles. Importantly, you bring the presence to operate confidently with both operational teams and executive decision makers inside large customer organisations.
Whats on offer
This is a high-impact and hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO where your influence will shape how the organisation approaches the market and strengthens its commercial discipline.
You will step into a family owned business with strong foundations and a respected product offering, providing the platform to focus on growth, customer strategy and capability building rather than turnaround. The role offers the opportunity to lead and develop an established sales team while bringing greater structure, visibility and strategic focus to the sales function. The culture is collaborative and relationship driven, where leaders are trusted to take ownership and drive outcomes.
For the right leader, this role offers the opportunity to shape a sales function, mentor an experienced team and build a stronger commercial engine that supports the organisation’s next phase of growth.
