About the opportunity
This is a key leadership role for a growing modular construction business. You will take ownership of the pre-construction function and shape how every project moves from sales through to build. You will lead design, drafting, estimating, engineering and procurement, bringing the structure, pace and accountability needed to support reliable delivery. 
The role spans 2 sites, one in Brisbane’s southern corridor and one in a key regional hub west of the city. For candidates considering relocation, the regional site offers shorter commutes, a quieter lifestyle and quality homes around the $500k mark.
Your focus is operational uplift. You will tighten workflows, strengthen documentation, improve sequencing and ensure production receives complete, accurate, build-ready packs. You will work closely with senior leadership, align teams and build consistent standards across the business. Success looks like predictable lead times, improved commercial accuracy, smoother handovers and a pre-construction team that operates with confidence and discipline.

About you
• Experienced leader across pre-construction, design management or a similar technical function.
• Strong understanding of modular, manufacturing or construction delivery environments.
• Confident overseeing design, drafting, estimating, engineering and procurement, with a solid grasp of how estimating assumptions drive commercial accuracy and project feasibility.
• Able to take full ownership of systems, processes, documentation and handovers.
• Disciplined in planning, sequencing and setting clear expectations for your team.
• Skilled at identifying gaps early and improving workflows without adding unnecessary complexity.
• Strong communicator who aligns cross-functional teams and works closely with senior leadership.
• Steady, accountable leadership style with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Focused on delivering complete, build-ready information that supports reliable production outcomes.
• Motivated to lift standards, build capability and have a visible impact across the business.
