In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of a transformation that matters. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver a nationally consistent approach to training – one that sets clear standards, builds capability, and strengthens performance and safety across a complex operational workforce. It’s a chance to create structure where it matters most and lead meaningful change at scale. Armed with a comprehensive independent review and a blank canvas, you’ll design the roadmap, set the pace, and begin executing fast. Your remit includes building the governance, aligning national and regional stakeholders, recruiting capability around you, and ultimately reshaping how safety-critical roles are trained and supported. 

There’s buy-in from the top, urgency on the ground, and space for bold thinking. You won’t inherit legacy systems to maintain – you’ll create the future model with minimal red tape! 

About You 

You’ve worked where safety isn’t optional – where training is more than compliance, it’s culture. You come from a world like logistics, mining, waste, heavy industry, manufacturing or transport – anywhere people, risk, and regulation intersect. You understand the nuances of operational training and have led successful change in complex, dispersed environments. You bring strategic thinking and the ability to execute under pressure. You’re energised by ambiguous beginnings and you know how to bring order and clarity. You can engage the executive team one day and connect meaningfully with trainers and site leaders the next. Influence is your toolkit; transformation is your track record.
