About the opportunity
You are stepping into a position designed for a true hunter who drives momentum, not waits for it. Your mandate is to build the market.
The business provides business-purpose property and construction lending solutions for borrowers who need speed, flexibility and commercial assessment outside traditional bank requirements. It has a clear market position, a practical lending appetite and a platform that can move quickly when the opportunity fits.
You will identify, engage and convert broker relationships across commercial finance, property finance, development finance, construction lending and business-purpose lending channels. You will also review existing and lapsed broker relationships in the CRM, re-engage the right contacts, understand where previous opportunities stalled and convert dormant relationships into active deal flow.
This is not a role for someone waiting to be fed leads. Success will come from targeted outbound activity, broker conversations, structured follow-up and the ability to turn relationships into applications, signed offers and settled loans.
In the first 6 months, you will build a clear understanding of the lending products, map and prioritise your broker market, reactivate high-potential CRM relationships, establish a disciplined weekly sales cadence and build a new broker pipeline capable of generating quality business-purpose lending opportunities.
Over 12 months, you will be expected to generate consistent self-sourced deal flow, build a repeatable broker engagement model, increase quality applications and settlements, improve conversion, and become known in the broker market as a responsive, commercially useful lending contact who can help solve complex or time-sensitive borrower scenarios.
About you
You are a true hunter. You do not wait for leads, you generate them.
You will bring demonstrated success generating new business within lending, banking, broking, property finance, development finance, business-purpose finance or other relevant background. You understand how broker relationships work and how to build referral channels that produce recurring deal flow, not just one-off transactions.
You can quantify your sales performance. That may include deals written, revenue generated, commission earned, customers developed, repeat business, conversion results or settlement outcomes.
You are confident picking up the phone, creating conversations, getting in front of brokers and asking directly for the business. You follow up when others stop. You stay close to the deal until there is a clear outcome. When a broker or borrower says no, you want to understand why.
You will also bring enough lending knowledge to understand borrower scenarios, assess whether a transaction is worth pursuing, explain the finance process clearly and progress opportunities through application, offer, acceptance and settlement.
You may be a broker who thrives on deal origination but wants the backing of a lending platform. You may be a banker with strong lending capability and broker relationships who wants more autonomy and commercial upside. You may already be in non-bank lending, commercial finance, mortgage broking or development finance and ready for a more entrepreneurial platform.
This will suit someone resilient, commercially hungry and comfortable operating in a smaller business without heavy corporate structure or constant direction.

You will work directly with decision makers, operate without excessive corporate layers and represent a lender that can assess deals commercially and move quickly when the opportunity fits.
The earning potential is significant for a high performer. The structure is performance-based, with uncapped commissions; OTE of $250K plus for those who can build relationships, originate quality opportunities and convert deals.
You can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, with flexible working arrangements depending on location and performance.
