Entrepreneur and brand specialist Christine Moody on: Self auditing, plotting the problem, pivot moments and asking the right questions.
Christine Moody is an expert in corporate branding and visual communication, someone who is a serial entrepreneur and who has applied her talent for branding across a range of different industries. Chris established her first business in her twenties with a $5000 loan from her parents. She now has over 30 years professional experience in the area of branding and has worked for highly recognised local and international brands such as Gold Coast City Council, Hilton Hotels and Wrigley USA. Christine is also the founder and Designer Advocate of Designer Law School and the author of the book of the same name. She is also the founder and Chief Brand Officer of consulting firm Brand Audits, and she has previously founded other highly successful businesses including The Wrap Dress and Poppy Cakes.
Born in Brisbane and raised in Ascot, Chris is the second eldest of six children. Her mother was a flight attendant and her father worked for himself in the meat export industry. She attended Nundah State School before completing high school at Clayfield College. Growing up, Chris was always creative and upon graduating she secured a competitive place at Queensland College of Art (QCA), but she soon deferred and after completing a business course took a full time position at the Park Royal Hotel. Chris attributes some of her talent for reading people and brand story telling to her early hotel training.
She later went on the complete a Bachelor of Graphic Design (QCA) and since then has pursued higher education throughout her life. She received a Bachelor of Business in Advertising with Distinction and a Masters of Design both from Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Law. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chris lives in Brisbane with her family.
