Our client is embarking on a major transformation program that will reshape the way one of Australia’s most critical operational networks functions. As part of this, 2 newly created 12-month contract roles have been designed to lead significant uplift across process, compliance, and performance.
Role 1: Process Improvement Lead – Site-Based Operational Reset
You’ll take the reins at a major Brisbane site, conduct a full reset of existing practices, and embed new operational standards that drive safety, compliance, and performance. Once proven, your playbook will be rolled out across a broader regional network. You will be in the thick of operations – on the ground, side-by-side with frontline teams, leading transformation where it counts. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys walking the site, solving problems in real time, and delivering practical, lasting change.
About You: For the Process Improvement Lead position, you’ll bring a strong track record in operational leadership and site transformation within high-volume, industrial environments where safety and compliance are non-negotiable. You know how to build trust quickly, reset underperforming teams, and implement best-practice processes in settings that demand both structure and adaptability. Experience with hazardous or dangerous goods, unionised environments, or highly regulated industries will be highly regarded. A technical background, whether as a chemist or engineer, or deep frontline experience in hazardous operations will position you strongly for success.
Role 2: Continuous Improvement Lead – focused on systems and process excellence.
You will lead the redesign and implementation of two critical intake and disposal workstreams across the multi-site, industrial services business. It’s a strategic opportunity to shape how materials are received, handled, and processed – standardising and digitising practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency at scale.
About You: For the Continuous Improvement Lead position, you will bring a background in business improvement, operational excellence, or systems transformation – ideally within asset-intensive or regulated environments such as manufacturing, chemicals, logistics, or utilities. You’re experienced in embedding process improvements through technology, not just people, and have led change across complex, multi-site environments.
Both roles require you to travel and work with and through existing teams, acting as an internal consultant. Your ability to influence without authority, simplify the complex, and build momentum will determine your success.
This is a rare opportunity to lead national transformation across core operational processes in a highly regulated, sustainability-focused ASX 100 business. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team, project control groups, and business unit leads, with visibility across frontline operations and corporate strategy. The role offers flexibility on base location along the East Coast. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering a modern, integrated solution in a high-growth, resilient industry driving towards a circular economy.
